Born in Medellin, Colombia, Jhon Gutti is a Tattoo Artist and Painter with a career on the rise. At the age of 19, he started tattooing independently, 2 years after he became the main artist at the only professional studio in Rionegro at the time (2007) “Morfeo”. One year later, he was hired on the weekends by one of the few studios in Medellin at the time, “STUDIO 13”, where he received recognition and was given the opportunity to attend national and international conventions and collect awards for his stunning work, helping the studio to get established as one of the most important in the country.

In 2014 He was hired at the World Famous “Kari Barba’s Outer Limits Tattoo Shop & Museum” in Long Beach CA, USA (The Oldest running tattoo shop in America). Over the course of 9 years and after collecting multiple awards in conventions across the country, he established himself among the best Black and Grey tattoo artists in the industry. He still works at this historically relevant studio.

Jhon has been developing also his skills as a Classically trained Oil Painter over the last decade. He’s currently learning under the wing of Italian/Brazilian Artist Felipe Salsano. He also has been in workshops with important artists such as Sean Cheetham, Shawn Barber, Chet Zar among others.

Jhon is currently integrating his vast knowledge in figurative paintings and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to his tattoos, taking his art to a whole new level and allowing him to create unique and custom designs preserving always his and his clients visions.
